UPDATED (10:31AM): Exorcism of Gay Demon At Holiday Inn-Based CT Church?
The Gay Christian Movement Watch, a self-described "cutting edge Christian ministry whose mission is to monitor, analyze and publish (MAP) the activities, leaders and public theological positions of the 'gay christian movement'" has posted two videos (a 5-minute version and a 10-minute version) of an exorcism of a young, presumably gay, man called "Casting Out A Homosexual Demon."
i believe in casting out demon. i just watched some of this video on cnn and you never know. the power of the holy spirit is real, casting out demons is real, and sin is real. but peolple of the world want an excuse to do sinful things. they do not want to change and live the way they were ment to live. the man on the tape wanted to change he believed in the holy spirit and for that he will be alright. plus, my sister was delivered from that type of life style. but, you have two choices you accept the power of the holy spirit or you dont.

Kim, I don't think Mary is crazy and I thought your response was quite rude.
She's 'entitled' to her opinion, one of the few things Americans are ACTUALLY entitled to.
Opinions - hers, yours, and mine. America truly is a great country.

Tracy, Mary is entitled to her opinion, and she gave it without any interference from me. I do NOT have to agree with it, however. And I don't have to be nice when disagreeing. Do you think it's nice that she thinks lesbians are evil? That she thinks YOU'RE evil?
She holds an opinion that's archaic and harmful. I understand that you want the world to be a nice, polite place, but when it comes to supporting a view that's repulsive, the time for niceties has passed. Instead of supporting Mary, you should be looking for your self-respect. I know you had it at some point.

Kim your the one being archaic; if you want to say you disagree with mary's opinion fine, but as yours is also an opinion and your the one being antagonistic, it sounds more like your opinion is harmful...

Who am I harming? I'm not the one trying to exorcise anyone's imagined demons. Mary's free to believe whatever she wants. I'm not trying to change her into something she's not. If she and people like her would keep their religion out of my bedroom, and especially out of politics, I'd appreciate that very much. If you think that's antagonistic, that's fine with me. But I'm not going to be silent while nonsense like this exorcism goes on.

Kim,
Ouch!
Thank you for responding to my post.
I found your name-calling and mockery of the Trinity rude, not your disagreeing. You don't have to be nice when disagreeing, or at any time, but aside from being rude it compromises your credibility and you know that. She spoke of a concept, and you personalized it to just her.
Regarding my self-respect, can we talk about that in the morning?
Posted by: Tracy | June 30, 2009 at 11:45 AM
But it is personal, Tracy. Very personal. And it's time that people who say, "It's just my opinion, but..." understand that it's personal. I'm pretty sure she'd feel the same way if people with "opinions" took away her right to marry (or any other rights).
As for talking in the morning, sure. But I think you already know what I mean.
