It doesn’t really surprise me to learn that Gov. Mark
Sanford’s lost weekend involved “another woman.” After all, what better way to derail talk of another run at
the presidency in 2012 than a good old-fashioned affair involving international
travel? Yeah, he was a candidate in 2008, remember? Part of his platform was
his position on civil unions; he was (and may still be) big on defining
marriage as being between one man and one woman. And he voted yes on the bill
seeking to ban adoption by gay couples and other individuals not related by
blood or marriage in the District of Columbia .
Clearly, Gov. Sanford is a man who holds family values dear. That’s why he took off for a romantic tryst with a woman who is not his wife on Father’s Day weekend.
Gotta love the Republicans.
"Gotta love the Republicans."
Don't blame Republicans for this man's hypocrisy.
Some people that think like that might be Republican - - - but not all Republicans think like that.

He is a Southern gentleman now remember. *coughs*
This is the same man that refused his state the federal money for education (because he wanted to pay down state debt)Even though it's been shown that they are leading the nation is the most uneducated children. They are dead last in the rankings.
Now don't get me wrong the state debt is important but so is the our future & by turning down the money he was willing to let thousands of teachers & special programs fall to the waste-side.
Can you tell he's not my favorite public elect official? Yeah this man grates my last nerve.

This is how the gop rolls. Period. They spew how wonderful they, how perfect and then they pull this or have pregnant teenage daughters who "chose" to have their babies.
They think if they just keep shouting family values, morals and ethics at us from the right we won't look to the left to see their entire platform is up in flames. Gotta freakin' love the show they put on.
You know Palin tried to pull that crap w/ denying the education money and we picketed until she (kind of) changed her mind. She is another scary unit who is gearing up to run in 2012. She is such a drama queen.

Hmmm, as a member of the GOP, I have to disagree.
Another hmmmm . . .do you think Republicans like being negatively stereotyped as much as gays do?

By way of clarification, I ought to have expanded upon my glib "Gotta love the Republicans," to add this thought:
"So many of the potential 'leaders' are self-imploding that I'll be fascinated to see how the party positions itself for the next election."

Recall Bill Clinton? It's not a repub / demo thing. It's an "I'm so powerful I can get away with this" problem.
I'm hoping we can someday have less arrogant leaders who are in the politics 'biz' as public servants, not for having their egos (and other parts) massaged.
