I have family in Cleveland, so I feel some connection to it. Having said that, I stayed in Cleveland while attending a wedding this summer and stayed downtown, and was shocked to discover that there was NO ONE on the streets downtown at 11 a.m. on a Saturday morning, outside of a 2-block tourist strip (which was not especially crowded). The security guard at the hotel suggested that I not walk around outside on my own -- I disregarded him because I've lived in big cities and feel like I've got basic street smarts -- but after 15 minutes of walking with pretty much no one else around, I headed back to the hotel -- it was just eerie (no pun intended) -- sort of like being the lone survivor in a horror flick.

LOL. As the second video points out, at least it's not Detroit!
